Ostpreußisches Landesmuseum in Lüneburg

The task of our museum is the preservation and exploration of the history and culture of East Prussia as well as the presentation of its lasting polymorphic cultured landscape in an appropriate museum environment. The exact mission is based on §96 of the BVFG (German Law on Displaced Ethnic Germans and Refugees) and the statute of the Ostpreußische Kulturstiftung (East Prussian Cultural Foundation). The museum works closely with Polish, Russian and Lithuanian museums and cultural institutions which are based in former East Prussia today.
