The Museum is closed for a few month because of conversion project!
The East Prussian Regional Museum is the only museum in Germany that broaches the issue of the rich culture and history of the former province of East Prussia in its entirety.
Special exhibitions
In two allocated spaces, the museum shows about 6-8 special exhibitions about specific or current issues per year.
Permanent exhibition
In the over 1,500sq big permanent exhibition, you can gain a great overview of the culture, history, and economy of East Prussia.
Exhibitions for hire
One of the main tasks of the museum is to spread knowledge about the culture and history of East Prussia in- and outside Germany. For this, we organise many exhibitions in other cultural institutions. Various panel exhibitions can be hired on request any time. Some of them are already bi-lingual and intended for exhibitions in the Polish and Russian-language areas.

In our exhibition archive, you can have a look at all the special exhibitions that we have staged since 2000.
Library
The museum has a very specific book inventory which can be used by visitors as a reference library.
Collection
For this purpose, it accumulated an extensive and important collection. Bound to the guidelines of the Deutschen Museumsbund (German Museums Association) and the ICOM, the collection is not just appropriately preserved and conserved, but also researched and presented in many exhibitions and publications.
